Tough Group To Play: Ryan

Vodafone Fijian 7s head coach Ben Ryan is wary of their three pool games in Dubai today.
Ryan believes Canada, Argentina and Japan will be unpredictable at 7he Sevens.
The Vodafone Fijians kick off their campaign against Canada at 6pm today, Japan at 9pm and Argentina at 3.28am tomorrow.
Speaking from Crowne Plaza Hotel Dubai- Festival City yesterday, Ryan said the three teams have the advantage over Fiji since they have had more game time during the off -season.
“Canada, Argentina and Japan have been very busy in the last few weeks trying to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games,” Ryan said.
“They have got more game time then us so they there’s going to be a big challenge for the boys.
“It’s a tough pool with three teams already qualified for the Rio Olympics.
“Argentina and Japan are both unpredictable sides and have some great players, players that play in the Rugby World Cup as well.
“It’s a tough group and we are taking every game with a respect that it deserves.”
The Vodafone Fijians had their final training run yesterday before heading to the ground to support the Telecom Fijiana side playing their opening game last night against Canada.

Ryan happy with community support
Ryan was impressed with the hospitality received from the Fijian community in Dubai who hosted the team to a dinner on Tuesday night.
Organised by the Fijian pilots employed by Emirates Airlines, the Telecom Fijaina and Vodafone Fijian 7s team were given a special treat.
“We were hosted by local residents and it was brilliant,” Ryan said.
“They put on a lovo (earth oven) and we had some nice curry, all very healthy food. We did our sevusevu, sang songs and I did a quick speech, it was just excellent.”
