‘Acting Commissioner Is Very Approachable’

Acting Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho has been described as a friendly man by many businesspeople in Labasa.
Labasa Chamber of Commerce and Industries (LCCL) president Satish Kumar said Mr Qiliho was very approachable, quick and eager to hear what they presented.
Mr Kumar who is also the committees chief northern crime prevention and chairman of Duvata Crime Prevention Carnival took his members to meet Mr Qiliho at the Labasa Police headquarters on Wednesday evening.
“He is willingly to accept suggestions and requests,” Mr Kumar said.
“Mr Qiliho highlighted the importance of national security especially during this festive season.
“He said more officers would be called in to work in various areas where security is concerned to make sure that everyone is safe, does shopping in a friendly environment and have a crime-free festive season.”
Fiji Police Force spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri, said Mr Qiliho was glad to meet businesspeople.
“He also had a meeting with the Labasa Taxi Union and Association who approached him with various issues such as illegal operations and Police conduct,” Inspector Sokomuri said.
“Mr Qiliho will look into it.”
Inspector Sokomuri said Mr Qiliho completed his official visit to Northern Division on Thursday.
