Fijian Pearls reps Afa Rusivakula and Episake Kahatoka will join teammate Maria Lutua in the 2016 Vitality Super League competition in the United Kingdom.

The duo will team up with Lutua’s former Celtic Dragons franchise.

Fijian Pearls coach Kate Carpenter was impressed with the news and said this would assist in the development pathway for Fiji Netball.

“The news is fantastic for Fiji and for the girls to be playing in that level of competition which we cannot provide in Fiji.

“They will not only have players in the UK playing but invitational players and for our three girls to be there is a great opportunity because it will help strengthen our programme,” Carpenter said.

“This is Tier One competition, a high profile top competition for the girls and they are very fortunate to be there.

Speaking to Wales Online Celtic Dragons coach Trish Wilcox said they were delighted to have the duo which would be an added bonus for her side.

“We are delighted to have Epi join our 2016 Celtic Dragons squad,” Wilcox said.

“Epi adds height to our defensive end as well as a dynamic presence.

“The club is looking forward to welcome the duo in Wales.

“We are all looking forward to working with this young exciting international talent.

“We are all very much looking forward to welcoming Afa to the Celtic Dragons franchise, and working with this exciting young player in 2016.
