Maritime islands students will be given first priority to study in Government-funded boarding schools on Viti Levu, says the Minister for Education, Heritage and Arts, Mahendra Reddy.

The schools are Queen Victoria School (QVS), Adi Cakobau School (ACS) and Ratu Kadavulevu School (RKS).

“Parents from Suva and nearby areas can still send their children to these schools, but only as a day scholar,” Mr Reddy said.

“We have reserved seats in boarding schools for students who come from maritime islands and interior of Fiji,” he said.

Mr Reddy said the remaining places would be given to students from urban areas.
