The Suva Civic Centre was a hive of activity as Sunday school children from 13 churches under the Methodist Church’s Nauluvatu Circuit in Samabula, Suva, sang carols and danced to Christmas hymns last Friday.

More than 600 children took part in the activity.

Sunday school teacher Vuli Waqa said this was the first time the Nauluvatu churches had organised the event for the public to witness and take part in.

“This is our last Sunday school rally for the year. It is a way in which we could spread the Christmas message and cheer to not only to our families but to the public as well,” Mrs Waqa said.

The children danced to Christmas carol hits such as ‘Felis Navidad’, Boney M’s ‘Mary’s Boy Child’ and other favourite Christmas songs.
