Whippy Prepares For Vaileba

Simon Whippy aims to be a professional boxer and he thanks Wild West Boxing Promotion for reviving the sport in Nadi.

He is confident he will take out his opponent Jovesa Vaileba in the Wild West Boxing Promotion in Nadi this Saturday.

Nicknamed as ‘Cannon Ball’, Whippy has been training hard for Pizza King-sponsored event.

“My late father discouraged me from taking up the sport but I want to be a professional boxer in future,” Whippy said.

“I’m looking forward to this fight and I’m going to win it by knockout.

“I am confident of my chances but I won’t underestimate Vaileba.”

The Cakaudrove native has won five amateur fights and he will meet Vaileba in a 6×3 rounds contest.

The main fight will be between Petero Qica and Napoleon Taumoepeau for the heavyweight title.

The much anticipated western rumble will be held on December 12 at the Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
