Khattab Rates Qica To Win

Korotogo hotelier and boxing supporter, Mostafa Khattab has tipped Fiji heavyweight champion Petero Qica to retain his title on Saturday.

Khattab said age and speed would be the deciding factor in this most awaited-fight for 2015.

“Don’t take me wrong challenger Napoleon Taumoepeau is a good boxer but I feel that Qica has that edge over him,” he said.

Khattab however warned, Qica to move in close to Taumoepau and should not allow him to use his longer reach.

Wild West promoter Abdul Khan has labelled the clash as the Fight of the Year.

“When I first signed the boxers they were probably not in their best shape but after visiting their camps last Friday, it was totally a different story altogether.

“Qica looked trimmed and is determined to hold on to his title while Napoleon was at his usual self always working hard in getting the little things right.”

Khan said they looked more like cruiserweight or light heavyweight boxers.

He visited the boxers on Sunday to record their weights.

“Most of the boxers were two kilos above or below the mark so it’s good because come Friday they should be on the dot.”

He said Wahid Khan is training hard to meet Siliveni Nawai in one of the upporting bouts.
