Farina Demands Best
National football coach Frank Farina demands the best from the Vodafone Under-23 players in their preparation for the six-match tour of Spain next year.
The team marched into camp on Monday at Fiji FA headquarters in Suva.
“My expectation from the players is for them to give their best as this will be a good opportunity for them to play at the 2016 Olympic Games in August,”Farina said.
Farina will be taking 22 players with five senior players Alvin Singh, Samuela Kautoga, Abbu Zahid, Simione Tamanisau and Munit Krishna.
“I will be taking five senior players but only three will be eligible to take part in Rio.
“This will give opportunities for the senior players to play in the Olympics.”
Farina said the camp would be from December 7-20.
The squad will take a Christmas break before returning to camp on January 4. The team departs for Spain on January 13.
