The Republic of Fiji Military Forces organised a one-day tournament as part of their preparation for the rugby sevens season.
The Navy team demolished FTG in the first semifinal and 3FIR later edged LFC in the second semifinal.
The Navy skipper, Kaminieli Naiqisa and his team appeared stronger throughout the day but their indiscipline contributed to their loss.
The courageous leadership of 3FIR skipper Lieutenant Matayavusa Lea said the disciplined performance of his gladiators contributed to their success.
3FIR defeated Navy 26-14 and walked away with the Commander RFMF Trophy. Lieutenant Lea was the best player of the tournament.
