The International Football Group from New South Wales are optimistic of stamping their mark in the week-long Ultimate Fiji Soccer Cup competition at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.

Team spokesperson Leniana Masibaka said they were enjoying the tournament.

“The competition has been tough but we are ready to secure our spot in the Under- 17 women’s grade,” Masibaka said.

Masibaka said Fiji was capable of producing more talented players in the country.

“With the talents they have I believe they could reach greater heights and become better football players as well. We are enjoying the competition even though it has been tough.”

She said the idea of participating in an event as such was a huge boost for them.

“We are  fortunate to get an opportunity and we will take back what we’ve learned,” she said. he competition continues in Nadi today.
