Cawaki: New Vessels To Boost Service Delivery

Having new Government vessels is crucial in terms of delivering quality service to people in the maritime zone.
This was the view of Assistant Minister of Agriculture, Rural and Maritime Development Joeli Cawaki during his Northern Maritime tour last week.
“Having such vessels is an advantage to those in the maritime zone as government workers are able to come to them and answer their queries,” he said.
Mr Cawaki said the continuing upgrade of their ability to service the most isolated parts in the North is one of the most important things government has ever done.
“We should always have the heart when it comes to serving people as it will go a long way,” he stressed.
During the tour, the latest vessel in the Government Shipping Services (GSS) fleet, MV Cagivou was used.
The vessel sailed from Nabouwalu jetty in Bua to Yadua, Galoa, Kia, Mali, Druadrua, Cikobia, Yacata, Qamea, Yanuca, Rabi and Kioa.
