Answered Prayers

Three years ago, a young man from Tonga came to study at the South Pacific Bible College in Wainadoi without any knowledge of English.

Today, Tevita Mou’nga is a competent speaker in the language.

“I could not communicate well with my friends and it was hard to understand what I was taught in the college, until I prayed for God’s guidance,” he said.

And as weeks and months went by Mr Mou’nga began to grasp the language sooner than he thought. The 24-year-old believed that over time God began to work wonders for him and this week he was recognised as the Highest Academic Achiever of the college.

He is originally from Hofoa, Tongatapu and comes from a big family.

He was amongst the 20 students that graduated from the bible college during its graduation ceremony at the Calvary Temple Church in Samabula on Tuesday.

“I come from a very big family and leaving my island home was quite hard but I knew that this was God’s calling for me.

“I give back the glory and the honour to God for He is the creator of all good things that happens in our lives.

“He sent me here for a purpose and that is to preach the Gospel,” he said.

Mr Mou’nga thanked his family and friends for their kind contribution in his studies and for being a great impact during his stay at Wainadoi.

“My family has been so great and their financial support and trust in me has finally been rewarded and I dedicate my hard work to them.”

Mr Mou’nga now looks forward to his first posting.
