There is stability in Fiji, says the acting Commander of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF), Rear Admiral Viliame Naupoto.

He was reacting to claims made by Sydney-based Government critic, Rajendra Chaudhry and Lautoka lawyer, Aman Ravindra Singh.

“Those who are saying things on the stability in Fiji , in my view, are simply lying,” Rear Admiral Naupoto said.

He said Fijians were enjoying living in this period of stability.

That stability, he said, had not come about only from what the Police and RFMF were doing. He said it was achieved by everyone living in Fiji.

“Everybody is putting in their bit and making sure that we live peacefully. The reality is that we are living in peace and everyone is happy.”

He assured the nation that the RFMF would do everything to ensure peace and security prevails in Fiji.
