The much-awaited Fiji Airways Airbus A330-300 will be arriving in the country on December 29.
The airline has confirmed the President Major-General (ret’d) Jioji Konousi Konrote will take delivery of the aircraft, and be the Chief Guest for its arrival ceremony in Nadi. The President and his wife Sarote Konrote will be on the inaugural ferry flight on Tuesday December 29.
Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama was due to have taken delivery of the aircraft in Toulouse, France earlier this month whilst in France for the COP21 meeting.
But he had to return early because of the death of his brother, Ratu Meli Bainimarama.
The President will be welcomed home by Government officials, members of the tourism industry and airline staff.
