Rajendra Prasad won the Sun Insurance Vanua Levu Open Golf Classic.
The two-day tournament was organised by the Labasa Golf Club at the Fiji Sugar Corporation Golf Course.
Prasad carded a five over par 145.
Abid Hussain finished second on 152 on a countback from defending champion Janendra Prasad.
Originally from Siberia, Labasa, he was excited to win.
“I never thought that I would win from an experienced field which included Abid Hussain and Janendra Prasad,” Prasad said.
The 38-year-old has been playing golf for seven years.
Labasa Golf captain Vinod Chand said Prasad received $130 cash and a trophy.
“I am very happy our last tournament of 2015 ended on a high note,” Chand said.
“Thanks to our sponsor Sun Insurance for their support.”
