An early Christmas gift has come for single mother Elenoa Veitoka and her only son after they won $30,000.

Ms Veitoka won the major prize after scratching a ‘wild green scratch forest’ scratch ticket at Namaka Lotto- Budget Pharmacy, in Nadi.

It was just another ordinary day for the Rosie Holidays tour consultant as she had went to pay bills. She decided to purchase a scratch ticket on Tuesday this week.

The only words she could utter were ‘Oh my God,’ after seeing the figures from the scratch ticket.

She was handed the cheque yesterday Lotto by the executive director of T.M.S- Fiji Taattsloto, Graeme Brown at the Budget Pharmacy, Namaka.

“It is simply the most incredible thing to happen,” Ms Veitoka said.

“I have battled every day, trying to make ends meet and to provide for my son, but this win is an early Christmas present for us.”

The money going to her future investment for her son’s education and she ensures to provide the best for her son 14-year-old Prince Vilimone.

“I am the only hope for Prince and this win is a guarantee that he has a better future. My duty is to fulfill that through this investment.”

As Prince enters secondary school education, he now sees his goals of becoming a pilot into a reality.

“I have always wanted to be a pilot, but I did not know if we would be able to manage that but now with this jackpot, I am certain to fulfill my goal,” Prince said.
