Fresh smoked salmon from New Zealand

In line with Fiji Star Foods commitment to providing ‘hotel grade products,’ the company is investing in the importation of smoked fresh Salmon from New Zealand.

This new line includes both hot and cold smoked salmon for local hotel, super yacht and Deli retail customers.

The team also provided smoked salmon together with fresh vegetables and spice from Australia and New Zealand to Salon  culnaire competing at the 2015 Vodafone and Westpac Hotec Trade Show at Sofitel Fiji Resort and Spa.

Managing Director Bob Penn said Five Star Foods has a strong commitment to looking at ways to increase local employment and bring the value added component back to Fiji and reducing end prices to consumers.

The company also works hard at maintaining support to local farmers and manufacturers that can meet the “hotel grade” standard.

“We are committed to providing quality products and savings to our valued customers,” Mr Penn said.

The company has recently invested a substantial amount of money in their Hazard analysis and critical control points or “HACCP”(international hygiene) approved facility and industrial kitchen.

Markus Nufer, Executive Chef Castaway Resort, said, “ Once again Five Star Foods has produced an outstanding world-class product that our guests can enjoy and Fiji can call their own.”

Five Star Foods Smoked Salmon is now available to the public through their Marina Deli at Port Denarau, or to Hotels through their wholesale department.
