Acting Chief Eyes Changes

Acting Fiji Corrections Commissioner Kameli Ratuvakalevulevu says he likes to see commanding officers run their own centres.
He said it was time to end old decisions coming from the top.
“I want to see them run their own centres and they all must contribute in the decision-making,” Mr Ratuvakalevulevu said.
He said he would like to see more communication between the commanding officers and those below him.
The acting Commissioner said he would look into the operations of all Corrections centres around the country.
He would continue from where his predecessor, Lieutenant-Colonel Ifereimi Vasu, left off.
He called on the support from senior staff members and all in the FCS family on his leadership.
Mr Ratuvakalevulevu thanked Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama for his presence at the church service and also for his confidence in choosing him as the acting Commissioner.
He gave his assurance to the Prime Minister that the FCS would support his leadership and the Constitution.
Mr Ratuvakalevulevu had spent 29 years in FCS and had worked in all centres around the nation.
