Anglican Church Archbishop Winston Halapua has thanked the Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama for his commitment in the COP21 Climate Change talks in Paris.

“I am thankful to our Prime Minister and the other leaders of the Pacific Islands for their contribution in the conference.”

He said their contribution had influenced the 195 nations present also in the conference.

“Fiji has been affected by climate change for many years,” Mr Halapua.

“There are some houses and villages that will be relocated because it is near to the sea because of the sea level is rising.

“I am very proud to say that the voices of our youths were heard very clearly and when I read their report whole conference,” Mr Halapua said.
