To portray the Christmas message to the people, the members of Yarawa Wesley Church Sunday school organised a Christmas Cantata at My Suva Picnic Park in Nasese, Suva yesterday evening.

The theme for their Christmas Cantata was ‘Jesus Christ Reason for the Season’.

Church member Elenoa Waqanibaravi said: “We believe that Christmas has been so commercialised that the true message of Christmas is lost.

“We have brought it to the park so that people who are enjoying with their family members can see young children performing and enjoy.”

Ms Waqanibaravi said this was the second year the church had performed the cantata at the park.

“The drama performed by children is to portray our message to public,” she said.

The children had been preparing for this cantata for the last three weeks.
