Aggie Happy To Be Home

Sport not only brings people of different races together but brings families together. And the Grasshoppers/Intersport Global International Netball Festival has done just that.
Aggie Seeto, who was born and raised in Cunningham, Suva, was a member of the Melbourne Fijiana team who took part in the two-day tournament and who also won the Best Player Award for her team.
The 19-year-old, who left for Australia in 2002 when she was six years old, has returned to her homeland for the second time since her first visit in 2003.
“I started playing netball when I was 11 years old,” Seeto said.
“Being a part of this tournament was amazing and being back home was even more incredible, especially after being away for almost 12 years.
“I have really grown as a player and so are my teammates. We have learnt how to play netball as a team and bonded really well during the past two days.
“It was especially an honour to play against the local girls as well, they were really tough and I know that I truly have learnt something from them.”
With the team leaving on Sunday, Seeto said she was lucky to have a week to spend time with family.
“It has been really good getting back to our roots and spending time with my families here.
“I love netball and I also play rugby as well so I am hoping that it will take me somewhere, but for now I’m going to enjoy the days I have left with my family.
“Hopefully, we get to come back next year as well, that would be really awesome.”
The Melbourne Fijiana team will head down to Denarau on Friday before flying out on Sunday.
