Congratulations to Standard Concrete Industries for winning the Golden Manufacturers Limited Manufacturing Exporter of the Year Award at the 2015 Westpac Prime Minister’s Exporter of the Year Awards.

Standard Concrete Industries general manager, Mosese Volavola their efforts was being recognised.

“Winning the Manufacturing Exporter of the Year Award 2015 is testament to the hard work put in by our management and staff in achieving a significant growth in our export business in 2015,” he said.

“Our export revenue doubled in 2015 from 2014.”

He said the win had proved that their products and service were of international standards and was competitive in the international market.

“This was only possible through the technical capability and know-how of our fully local staff.”

Mr Volavola explained some of the projects the company supplied were high-profile technically complicated projects like the new Betio Wharf, Major Roads Upgrade and Tarawa Airport Runway Resurfacing Projects in Kiribati and the Funafuti Airport Runway Resurfacing Project in Tuvalu.

“Standard Concrete supplied these major projects with its 100 percent Fiji Made products.

And in doing so has successfully taken over this market from traditional supplier out of New Zealand and Australia.”

VISION

He said the company’s vision was ‘to be the largest and most successful supplier of quarry and cement based products in the South Pacific’ and the win was a major milestone towards achieving that vision.

The Golden Manufacturers Limited Manufacturing Exporter of the Year Award recognises a company that has shown overall excellence in manufacturing of exportable products.
