New Sukanaivalu Gym

Youths in Vaturekuka, Labasa can now train in a proper fitness gym.
The newly renovated gym was funded by Bank South Pacific (BSP) and is located at Republic of Fiji Military Forces’ Sukanaivalu Barracks.
BSP Human Resource general manager Howard Politini said the renovation cost $10,000. .
“BSP would just like to join in the spirit of giving during the festive season and do something worthwhile for those who need it,” Politini said.
“The project was also part of BSP’s many community projects throughout Fiji, an incentive that started in 2010.
“We were fortunate that we did worry about the labour costs since the Army engineers actually do the work.”
Politini added BSP also funded the renovation of the Queen Victoria School gym, multipurpose court in Suva and the Natadola gym.
The Sulanaivalu is BSP last community project for 2015.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Peceli Nacolaivalu said the renovated gym would help in the proper training of the rugby teams and youths from the surrounding areas.
“We are fortunate to now have access to a proper gym and it would definitely help youths and players to train better and live a healthy lifestyle.
“We’re grateful to BSP for their support as this is definitely an early Christmas gift for us.”
