Lali holds an Australian PR
The bail ruling for a murder accused has been deferred as the court requires confirmation on his permanent residence status here.
Rusiate Lali, who is a multi-media artist and does his work between Fiji and Australia, is charged with the murder of Sunia Baleisamabula in a nightclub at Nausori earlier this month. He has been further remanded in custody.
Evidence put before the court yesterday stated that Lali holds an Australian PR, therefore travelling is unrestricted between the two countries.
Fourteen days have been given for the presentation of the validation report to the court.
The bail ruling will now take place on December 29.
