Ba’s Hansraj and Company Limited, the parent company of Meenoos clothing and accessories stores opened its first floor yesterday at Meenoos Nadi store.

This is next step closer to its Department Store called the Next Gen Shop. The renovation of the ground floor of Meenoos will start soon.

For this department store, the shop is investing $1.5million dollars.

Director Dakshay Parmar said the Department Store in Nadi is their first store of a kind from their other entire Meenoos branch but plans are in place to upgrade their other stores as well.

“The first floor is the completion of phase one and soon we will renovate the ground floor into portions as well and after few months it will become complete department store.”

 The two-level department store provides customers a better and wider range of products from fabrics, beddings, perfumes, souvenirs, home appliance, baby products and other products.

 “It is a huge investment for us and there is more to come,” Mr Parmar said.

“We have rushed into completing this work because we wanted to open before Christmas so that customers can take advantage of the Christmas specials as well as get a whole new experience of shopping with us.”

The company has also provided employment to 15 additional staff.

“We want customers to be assured that we have a completely whole new different environment and experience and they get can the best value of the money spent with us.”

The Meenoos stores are in Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Sigatoka, Tavua, Rakiraki and Labasa

Hansraj and Company Limited’s head office is in Ba and they also operate Style Check in Ba.

Style Check targets the upper market when it comes to trendy and fashionable clothing.
