Ben Yabaki, 18, of Central College  in Lautoka was among students who passed Year 13 examination yesterday.

He said it was one of the happiest days of his life and he thanked the guidance of his parents and teachers.

“I couldn’t believe my marks because I thought that I was not going to make it. When I came this morning, I asked God to give me the strength to accept whatever I am going to get, but when I saw my results, I was so happy.”

The arts student travelled from Lautoka to Suva with his parents to receive his results at the Examination Office at Selbourne Street, Suva.

“We were told to revise exam papers for the last four years. We did that, but when we sat for our exam, there was nothing that we studied from the previous exam papers that came in the exam. I lost hope knowing that I was not going to be able to make it. I just wrote whatever I knew during the exam.

“I am so happy because now I will be able to enrol at USP in the Bachelor of Law next year and make my parents proud,” he said.
