The Boxing Commission of Fiji (BCF) has confidence in the local referees and judges.
BCF director Usman Ali said the comments made by New Zealand based- referee and judge Faiyaz Khan about last Saturday’s promotion in Nadi was unfortunate.
“Firstly, Faiyaz Khan was not there in person so he can’t be making judgement on the performance of the local referees and judges- it’s unfair to them,” he said.
Ali also confirmed that the appointment of referees and judges to participate in tomorrow’s promotion at Subrail Park in Labasa is decided by the Commission.
“The referees and judges are under the Commission so we will decide and not the promoter,” he said.
