Being Dux No Surprise for Faiza

‘I have always come first from Year One to Year Eight’
Being named the dux of Karavi Public school in Ba during last month’s prizegiving came as no surprise for Faiza Shamaila Ali.
“I have always come first from Year One to Year Eight; even in years four and six I scored top marks in the LANA assessment,” she said.
“Now I have won the dux award and I hope my secondary education is also as successful as my primary education.”
The Year Eight student said she always strived to do her best throughout her primary school years.
She said she wanted to become a lawyer or an accountant after completing her tertiary education.
“I would like to thank my mother, father and also my uncle Ugesh Narayan of B.W Holdings for sponsoring this prizegiving ceremony,” she said.
“It was my family’s support that helped me get this far and I will do my best to make them proud next year.”
Proud father Michael Ali said: “We have always encouraged her and we will continue to love and support her no matter what field she chooses,” he said.
“Being totally involved in your child’s life will drive them to do their best in life.”
