The Marist teams are adamant for a positive outing in the Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s which starts today at Ratu Ravuama Memorial Primary School in Tailevu.

Marist will feature in two teams in the two-day tournament.

Coach Elenoa Kunatuba said she was trying to adjust players to play 7s rugby.

“This is a very young side and these young players came out from the 15s programme,”she said.

“This is one way of involving them in the off-season programme.

The new players will provide the challenge for Kunatuba

“Most of these players are not regular sevens players and it will take a while for them to adjust.

“We trained for two weeks and the Mokani 7s would be a challenge.”

The 2015 Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s tournament kicks off today with Mystic Knights and Nadi Blazers playing the first game at 8am followed by Hideaway Hurricanes and Vunivaivai at 8:14am.
