USP Shares Christmas Spirit With Hilton

The University of the South Pacific’s (USP) School of Tourism and Hospitality Management (STHM) strengthened their association with Hilton Early Intervention Centre in Suva yesterday.

This is by developing an initiative to organise the collection of Christmas gifts to be distributed among the children.

This complements an earlier STHM initiative which was to acknowledge the good work that Hilton is doing to cater for the educational needs of its children.

Forty-five students were sponsored by staff members from different schools and faculties of the university.

Assistant lecturer Marika Kuilamu, who also manages STHM’s social responsibility programme, presented the gifts to the students during their graduation.

Mr Kuilamu said the students were excited and it was wonderful to be a part of their graduation.

“Seeing the students smile, brought joy and satisfaction knowing that we have contributed to making this day a memorable one for them, their parents and teachers.”
