Central Chiefs women’s rugby team aims to play Coral Coast 7s next month.

The side took part 2015 Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s which started yesterday at the Ratu Ravuama Memorial Primary School yesterday.

Team captain and former Fijiana rep Elina Taoba said they have some very good players.

“I’m really impressed with the performance from the girls,” Taoba said.

“These young players are blending in well with the experienced players.

Our main focus now is to put together a good team for the Coral Coast 7s.”

The Central Chiefs side lost to Marist Sea Hawks in their first game 0-12 and also went down to Talica Vodo’s Striders side 10-17.

Bolstering the ladies in pink were Fijiana reps Timaima Tamoi and Pricilla Siata and Taoba.

“We are happy to be given the chance to plain the Mokani 7s as we want to play and expose our young players to good competition.”
