The Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s tournament would not have been possible without the support of sponsor Paradise Beverages.

Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s tournament organiser Seremaia Vueti said their association with the local brewer started 28 years ago and it’s getting stronger and stronger.

“We could not have done it without Carlton Brewery (Fiji) Ltd now Paradise Beverages support,” Vueti said.

“The village and the rugby communities from all over the country have benefitted from the generosity of the sponsor.

“They become either better citizens or players by taking part in Fiji Bitter sponsored tournaments at Mokani through the years.

“We have a new gym and we plan to build a multipurpose court. These projects are funded by what we raised from the 7s tournaments though the years..

The tournaments have become bigger and better and great following from enthusiastic rural rugby fans and village rugby teams around Viti Levu and from as far as Vanua Levu and other outer islands.  Not only that; many former, emerging and current national players show their internationally admired 7s rugby skills at the past Fiji Bitter Mokani 7s.

Paradise Beverages marketing manager Joe Rodan Snr said with the success and effects of the Fiji Bitter sponsored 7s tournaments for the past years it has act as an entertainment to the people of Fiji as a whole

“Any Fiji Bitter-sponsored event attempts to form a genuine connection between the brand and the consumers,” he said.

As the Fiji Bitter brand continually looks for ways to reward its loyal consumers in the environments in which it is most receptive, Fiji Bitter sponsorship provides a way to positively reinforce our brand values.

Sports sponsorship has been a major buzz in the Fijian sports arena and the Fijian communities giving Fiji’s people ideals that are cherished which are essential to our continued growth. It has proven to be positively received and embraced by the Fijian community and demonstrates the real power of effectively connecting with what the community values as important to them.

“We are constantly reviewing and striving for better ways to connect with our loyal consumers with the ideal of making any Fiji Bitter-sponsored event bigger and better in the future.

“We constantly endeavor to refine the way Fiji Bitter connects with our consumers.”

Fiji Bitter invested throughout the years engaging with the local communities and the people of Fiji.

For this iconic beer brand; the rewards from being in the market will materialise only if we see our investment in broad terms; not just capital investment in bottling plants and buildings, but also mortal investment in villages, community halls, proper sanitation facilities and other community projects.”
