More Study Opportunities in Morocco

Placements for Fijian students to study in universities in Morocco and health co-operation were key areas discussed between senior Fijian Government officials and senior Moroccan government officials in Morocco’s capital, Rabat.

Fiji’s counsellor at the diplomatic mission in Brusells, Nidhendra Singh, led talks this week on behalf of the Fijian Government. He met with the Moroccan Agency for International Co-operation director-general Abderrahim Kadmiri.

The bilateral discussions looked at deepening relations between Fiji and Morocco particularly in the health sector. The two sides discussed cementing this area of co-operation through a development co-operation agreement.

Another area discussed was increasing the number of Fijian students in universities in Morocco. Mr Kadmiri highlighted that despite the availability of scholarships, there were not many Fijian students studying in Morocco.
