Vodafone Flying Fijians prop Manasa Saulo has vowed to play as long as he can for French Top 14 champions Toulon.

Saulo will replace Salesi Ma’afu who lost his lucrative contract with European club champion after being convicted of assault.

The Wainawaqa, Naitasiri native will leave his Romania club Timișoara Saracens this week.

Speaking to SUNsports yesterday from Bucharest, the 26 year old said this was a blessing to him.

“I never expected that one day I will be playing in one of French Top 14 teams, this really came as a surprise,” Saulo said.

“My aim now is to keep movingQ forward and pushing for the top.”

Donning the white jumper in every game at the 2015 Rugby World Cup was special to Saulo.

“Wearing that white jersey in the opening match against England and the rest of pool games was pretty special,” Saulo said.
