Sharma, Kumar Head To Bebe Spa

Ashna Sharma and Swapna Kumar are looking forward to their attachment at the Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort’s Bebe Spa on the Coral Coast beginning next year.
They graduated from the National Training Productivity Centre (NTPC) Hair Beauty and Spa Training Academy yesterday with Certificate III in Beauty Therapy.
NPTC is part of the Fiji National University (FNU).
Miss Sharma wants to be a cosmetologist, while Miss Kumar wishes to start her own beauty spa.
Miss Sharma, 19, is the eldest in her family.
“It’s always been a dream for me to become a cosmetologist and this certificate is a step closer to my goals,” she said.
“I believe that beauty changes, the trends change and it is a field where you learn new tips and tricks every day.”
Miss Kumar, 20, of Waqadra, Nadi, said she has achieved her childhood dream of becoming a beautician.
“My dad is a hairdresser and I’ve learned few things from him. I am glad to have completed my study,” she said.
“I wanted to be a make-up artist because I like to experiment with new looks and cosmetics that give detailed definition to a person’s beauty.
“My future plans after finishing attachment is to work in the beauty and spa industry before settling down to start my own business,” Miss Kumar said.
Their mothers – Sanjila Lata (Ashna’s mum) and Shareen Singh (Swapna’s mum), were present during the graduation.
The two girls start at the Bebe Spa next March.
