Remembering The Prophet And His Deeds

Members of the Ulama-e-ahle Sunnat Fiji community marched through Ba Town yesterday, honouring Prophet Muhammad.
This is in line with his birthday on December 24, according to the Islamic calendar.
The Ulama-e-ahle Sunnat Fiji will be officially celebrating the anniversary today at Govind Park in Ba.
The march yesterday saw about 400 members of community in traditional wear chanting from the MH Ground to the Civic Centre and back.
Secretary Mohammed Nazim said the march was to remind people of the righteous deeds of the Prophet demonstrated in his life.
“We want to emphasise and remind people to follow the paths set by the Holy Prophet who always supported those who did good and spoke the truth,” Mr Nazim said.
“We want people to recall his teachings remember his messages and live a lifestyle of honesty, love, respect and truth as the Prophet has always preached,” Nazim said.
“Then only we can be good people, good citizens of this country and we Muslims shall never forget that he wanted us to live a life of truth and honesty.”
At Govind Park, messages and teachings of the Prophet will be shared and honoured.
