Timoci Natuva says we should all work towards building tolerance, peace and harmony.

The Minister for Defence, National Security and Immigration highlighted this during Prophet Muhammad’s birthday celebrations at Govind Park in Ba yesterday.

“Let us work together to ensure that our perseverance and efforts for tolerance, peace, harmony, stability, personal and national security perpetuate for the good of all,” Mr Natuva said.

“The Fijian Government continues to recognise the birthday as an important event in the Fijian calendar.

“This signifies and symbolises our respect for all Muslims believers in Fiji with our abilities and tolerance to live together, despite our many differences.

“Without any doubt, the teachings of Prophet Muhammad that include a quest and desire for peace, tolerance, understanding, harmony and unity, are alive amongst us,” Mr Natuva said

He acknowledged the continuous contributions of the Muslim community to the development of the nation.
