The Qauia Volleyball Association aims to win the Vulaca Championships next month.

The QVA held their weekly competition at the Novotel grounds last Saturday.

Association secretary Aporosa Salauca said this was a build-up for them to find out which teams will be representing Qauia.

“We’re holding club competitions because we will be fielding four men’s and two women’s teams to represent Qauia,” Salauca said.

“The Vulaca Championships is a prestigious tournament and this is only our second year participating in the tournament.

“We reached the final in the first year we competed and that in itself was a major achievement for us.

“We are looking to taking that step further by winning the final.”

In the women’s finals, Bluez beat Sunwheels  2-0 while Survivors beat Breakers 2-0 in the men’s finals.

The Vulaca Championships will be held on January 26-27 at the FMF Gymnasium. Edited by Osea Bola
