The Ministry of Education yesterday released the 2015 Fiji Year 12 Certificate Examination Results to the District Education Offices.

School Principals can collect their school’s results from District Education Office from 8:00am today.

“I am happy to note that the overall national percentage pass rates of the raw marks in eleven subjects have improved compared to 2014,” Minister for Education Mahendra Reddy said.

A total of 12472 candidates sat for the Year 12 examinations at 166 centres around the country. Of this number, 65 per cent of the students have scored marks equivalent to 200 or above in English plus three best subjects.

“My plea to students is to accept the results positively and make meaningful decisions as there will be no automatic progression to Year 13.

“Students with a mark of 200 or above in English plus best three subjects are eligible to pursue Year 13 studies while those attaining less marks can either repeat or undertake Certificate II level studies at Technical College of Fiji which will be fully funded by TELS ,” Mr Reddy said.

All the Year 12 students, parents and guardians are requested to obtain their results from district education office or log onto the Ministry of education Website on www.education.gov.fj

“Any requests for recount or recheck of marks must be lodged with the Director of Examinations and Assessment Unit no later than Friday January 22 with a recount fee of $5 per subject.

“Should the students be not satisfied with the recount feedback there is also provision for a remark at reasonable fees,” Mr Reddy said. Ministry of Education
