Police Warn on Fake Notes

A fake $20 note (Serial Number FFB1643658) was discovered at one of the service stations in Suva yesterday.  The discovery was made when the cashier for that service station was totaling the sales for the day. It is alleged that this fake note was received from a customer who paid for fuel for his vehicle.

Investigations continue into the matter and members of the public are requested to be vigilant whilst dealing with cash (especially notes) in this festive season.

Man held for alleged possession

A 29-year-old is currently in Police custody after he was found in possession of two parcels containing dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

The construction worker  remains in custody awaiting analysis of the plants as investigations continue.

Police are anticipating a lot of drug-related activities ahead of the festive season as people will be looking to make a quick dollar.

Be reminded that Police will be out in numbers to curb such illegal activities.
