Sharing Season’s Greetings

The Nasea Methodist Church choir made a surprise visit to Labasa Hospital on Wednesday night to sing Christmas carols.
The 40-member choir was accompanied by their church minister, Reverend Noa Turaganivalu.
Rev Turaganivalu said even in times of suffering and pain, Jesus remembered people who were sick.
“I know Christmas is a time of celebration and most patients miss home and their loved ones,” he said.
“This is the reason why we, as a group, came to share our love and concern to patients to encourage them that even while on their hospital beds, they can still be part of Christmas. Jesus’ presence is everywhere,” he said.
The group also visited Labasa Corrections Centre and the Babasiga Ashram.
“We visited such places because this is where people with heavy-laden hearts, either bound with pain or suffering need hope, assurance and appreciation, especially on Christmas day.”
Labasa Hospital medical superintendent Doctor Jaoji Vulibeci thanked the choir for sharing the Christmas spirit.
