The victorious Nadi Muslim College Under- 17 football side were rewarded during their awards night last week.

The Nadeem Mohammed-coached side won the 2015 Vodafone Fiji Secondary Schools Football Association IDC this year.

Team manager Mohammed Hafiz Khan applauded the effort.

“I’m the proudest manager having won the first ever school’s IDC,” he said.

“And all the players passed Year 12 and Year 13 examinations.”

Principal Nazrin Rafiq said dedication and commitment played vital roles in the win.

“This is a rare double. We won the first ever national title and all our soccer players passed their major exams.”

Year 11 student Mosese Namumu received the New Find of the Year award while Nadi rep Mataiasi Toma got a special award for being the first student from NMC to play at any FIFA U20 Football World Cup.
