Extra Special Sunday for Youths

It was an extra special Sunday service for International Youth Fellowship(IYF) youth members as they were able to witness the matrimony of two youth members.
Long-time sweethearts Avisaki and Ulaiasi Halofaki exchanged vows in front of their family and friends at the Suva Civic Centre yesterday.
Avisaki said they felt blessed as they were able to share their happiest moment with everyone they loved.
“We met a year ago and we have two children who are twins and we thank our friends and family for their support.
“Today feels so special and through this fellowship we have been able to grow spiritually and also being empowered.”
Last Saturday, International Youth Fellowship (IYF) opened a three-day Christian Mind Lecture Camp. IYF Co-ordinator, Jotame Halofaki said IYF through the Mind Lecture Camp aims to educate the youths living in Fiji to become better leaders of tomorrow.
“The cases of criminal activities that involve youths in our country have risen rapidly over the years and as a young person, I believe that most of the crimes committed by youths are due to lack of self control,”Mr Halofaki said.
“Through this type of lectures and seminars, youths can be able to reflect on their own weaknesses and learn ways to counter problems that they face daily and we acknowledge the Ministry of Sports for their support,”he said.
The International Youth Fellowship (IYF) is a Christian-based, global youth organisation that was established in 1995 by leaders who recognise the problems youths face today.
Since its establishment, IYF has grown exponentially and is now active in almost 80 countries.
The lecture camp at Civic Centre will end today.
