Police ID Hit and Run Car from Video Footage
Police have established a lead that will hopefully help them arrest the driver of the vehicle that was allegedly involved in the hit-and-run accident in Laucala Beach last Saturday.
The incident claimed the life of 22-year-old Maciu Delai who lived 20 metres away from the accident site.
It is understood that the Police were assisted through a video footage which was provided by a service station nearby.
Director Traffic Control Unit Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Mahesh Mishra said they were also assisted by information from the public.
“The vehicle involved in the hit and run is a taxi and through our thorough investigation, we were able to identify the vechicle,” SSP Mishra said.
