Inmate Doneel Kumar shed tears of joy when he joined his family in Lautoka for Christmas last Friday.
He was among inmates who celebrated Christmas at home with their love ones.
Six inmates were released for seven days to be with their families during Christmas.
They are inmates of the Lautoka Corrections Centre.
Kumar said he was happy to rejoin his family at their home near the Golden Age Home at Natabua.
