Tui Suva Event A Success
Another successful tournament with 18 teams competing yesterday in Suvavou
The 23rd annual Tui Suva Youth Volleyball tournament was yet another success with 18 teams competing yesterday in Suvavou, Lami.
Organising committee chairman Peter Zinc said competition attracted a lot of young participants.
“The tournament has been really good and served its purpose in bringing all the youths together,” Zinc said.
“We are trying to get our youths actively involved in sports.”
With the tournament celebrating its 23rd year since starting in 1993, Zinc said it has achieved its objective by not only improving the lives of youths but also the sport.
“The idea of this tournament is to lift volleyball at the grass root level and we have seen how much the sport has grown,” he said..
