Carpenter Stands By Her Words

Former Fijian Pearls head coach Kate Carpenter yesterday reiterated she resigned for personal reasons.
In a correspondence with SUNsports from yesterday Carpenter wished not to make any further comments on the matter.
She then reiterated her reason for resignation despite speculations that she was forced to resign following a review which was done on the Fijian Pearls performance for the year.
“If it’s okay I won’t be answering any more questions from the media,” Carpenter said.
“I added my comments to the media release from Netball Fiji and yes I resigned for personal reasons.”
Carpenter stated in the media release she enjoyed her time in Fiji and being part of the Fijian Pearls team.
“I have really enjoyed my time in Fiji, especially working with the Fijian Pearls squad and the team management.
“To be part of the first Oceania Series in Suva against the New Zealand Silver Ferns was a highlight, as was the gold medal performance at the Pacific Games in Papua New Guinea.
“I’d like to wish Fiji Netball and the national Squad all the very best for the future,” Carpenter said.
Carpenter joined Fiji Netball in September, 2014 and flew out of the country last Friday.
