Lee Aims For Better 2016

Nadi-based local professional golfer Sam Lee aims to do country proud in international events.
The 24-year-old said he has enjoyed the sport more in his professional debut this year.
“This was my first year as a professional golfer was more of experience year. I had learned a lot of things and have different expectations for next year,” he said.
According Lee, making the cut at the PGA Australia/One Asia sanctioned Fiji International event turned out to set a new bench mark for his career.
“It has been one of my best performances. However, I have learned more on playing different courses. You really have to plot around the golf courses well, to give yourself best possible outcome. Many older players do that very well.”
His plan for 2016 begins in Australia for the Qualifying School in January.
“Australian PGA starts first week of February. I am waiting on the Australian Visa to go back to Australia to play in the Final Stage Qualifying School.
“I feel better after playing in many tournaments past few weeks.”
He said this year, the Qualifying school reduced the number to 40 qualifiers despite under pressure he is adamant to make it through.
“I would need to stay focused and play solid golf in coming the weeks.”
