Coastline Roos Banks On Vodafone Nadi 9s

Vodafone Cup Premier Division champions, Coastline Roos will use the Vodafone Nadi Nines tournament as a build-up to their Australia tour next month.
The club received an invitation from their main sponsors, Wyong Roos, an Australian rugby league club based in New South Wales. They depart of January 28.
Coastline Roos development officer Suliasi Cakautabu said the invitation was a boost to the players.
“This is a platform where the boys can expose the rugby talents they have,” he said.
“For many of them, the trip will be theire first abroad.”
He said the team had been preparing well for the tour.
And with the Vodafone Nadi Nines tournament coming up next weekend, Cakautabu said it was a good platform for the team to have preparations.
Meanwhile, Fiji National Rugby League operations manager Jo Finau said they expected to have more teams in the Vodafone Nadi Nines tournament.
“Our target is 20 teams, but if I think it will go above that. At the moment we cannot confirm how many teams participating as there are more teams showing interest,” he said.
Finau said the tournament would boost clubs ‘ preparation to the Vodafone Cup competition next year.
