Passengers Stranded At Savusavu

More than 100 plus passengers bound for Suva were stranded at Savusavu wharf on Sunday night.

Passenger Nanise Matau said she was waiting with her three children at the wharf from 3pm to 9pm.

“We were waiting from 3pm but we were told that the ship could not dock because of the strong wind at Savusavu wharf,” Mrs Matau said.

She said it was 9pm but Lomaiviti Princess waited far away from the wharf and they were informed that the ship was not going to Suva.

“Most of us were disappointed but most of the passengers went back to their villages as some went to the hotels around Savusavu Town.” Edited by Maraia Vula
